Cadillac Blackwing Models Debut in ‘Forza Horizon 5’

20 Years of V-Series Performance calls for an exciting celebration. Last month, players in “Forza Horizon 5,” developed by Xbox Game Studios’ Playground Games, were able to receive a Cadillac CT5-V or CT4-V Blackwing model as a seasonal reward earned through challenges within the game. This marks the first appearance of the V-Series Blackwing models within the “Forza” franchise, joining the 2013 Cadillac XTS limousine and 2016 CTS-V and ATS-V are currently in the game.
“The timing couldn’t be better for the V-Series Blackwings to arrive in ‘Forza Horizon 5’,” said Global Vice President of Cadillac Rory Harvey. “Since going on sale in 2021, both V-Series Blackwings have been in high demand, and it’s a thrill to see these iconic sedans come to life in a format that makes them accessible to millions of enthusiasts around the world.”
The twin-turbocharged Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and supercharged CT5-V Blackwing sedans offer the ultimate balance of road-going performance luxury and track capability. While players can experience this within the gameplay, you can experience the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in-person at Heritage Cadillac today. Cadillac Celebrates 20 Years of V-Series

Next year marks an official two decades of our Cadillac V-Series family. To celebrate, Cadillac plans to commemorate these 20 years with a year-long celebration that began at this year’s SuperSebring endurance races this previous March – an ode to the start of the sub-brand, which took place at Sebring International Raceway in 2004.
The Cadillac V-Series performance sub-brand was launched in 2004 with the race debut and subsequent first win of the CTS-V.R race car in the SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge GT race. The first to join the lineup was the 2004 CTS-V, developed on the racetrack and previewed on Germany’s famed Nürburgring circuit. Following the launch came a series of 13 sedan, coupe, roadster and SUV V-Series models that brought the Cadillac V-Series brand to where we are today.
Today, the V-Series performance lineup has grown by three to include the twin-turbocharged CT4-V Blackwing, the supercharged CT5-V Blackwing, and the long-anticipated Escalade-V. With 682 horsepower (508 kW), the Escalade-V currently wears the crown of Cadillac’s most-powerful production model ever, while the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing models offer the ultimate balance of road-going performance, luxury and track capability.
This also marks an important year for Cadillac Racing, which has expanded with the all-new, electrified Cadillac V-Series.R prototype race car competing internationally in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship. The Cadillac V-Series.R represents the start of the fifth generation of V-Series. Cadillac will also return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June for the first time in more than 20 years, competing with three cars for the overall win in the historic endurance race.
“Nearly 20 years ago, Cadillac made a bold move with V-Series that continues to resonate,” said Global Vice President of Cadillac Rory Harvey. “From the racetrack to the road, V-Series has transformed Cadillac and helped redefine performance luxury for thousands of enthusiasts. Over the next 12 months we will celebrate V-Series with a number of significant moments.”

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know? Georgia is the 14th deadliest state for Colorectal Cancer in the U.S. In fact, one of our very own Heritage Cadillac Mitsubishi employees has been directly impacted by this disease – making this Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month a cause close to our hearts. In an effort to help bring awareness, we will be donating a portion of all our sales in the month of March to Georgia CORE, a leading center for Oncology Research and Education. Wish to make a monetary donation? Click here.
Colorectal cancer is the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Survivors and medical experts are working tenaciously to change that statistic by raising awareness about prevention, early detection and treatment.
While this form of cancer can be most prevalent in older generations, with more than 90% of colon and rectal cancer prognoses delivered to patients ages 50 and older, colorectal cancer can affect anyone at any age. The key is early detection. Early detection for screenings of polyps and cancer can greatly improve the mortality rate in older adults, with roughly 75% of colorectal deaths occurring in those over 65 years old.
“All adults — starting at age 45 or before — should talk to their doctor about screening for polyps and cancer,” Jordan said. “Anyone experiencing signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer (at any age) should be screened. The primary reason: colorectal cancer screening can save your life.”
Colorectal cancer is a cancer of the large intestines and the rectum. It’s somewhat different from colon cancer, but the prevention methods and treatments are similar. Preventing the condition comes down to knowledge and removing the barriers of access. With the advancements in medicine we see today, treating polyps of the colon or cancerous polyp has become a much more understandable situation for patients. The more this disease gains awareness, the farther we can move in medicine, and the sooner those who are diagnosed can be detected.

The Cadillac Goddess Returns with the CELESTIQ

The Cadillac Goddess has been missing from the Cadillac models for the last half century, but she has never been forgotten. Adorning the hoods of most Cadillac vehicles from 1930 through 1959, the Cadillac Goddess was envisioned to represent the brand’s grace and spirit of unsurpassed swiftness and power. Today, she makes a return on the all-new CELESTIQ as a homage to Cadillac’s illustrious design history, and a new symbol of the Cadillac artistry.
“CELESTIQ is the beginning of the future for Cadillac, conveying the artistic innovation the brand is bringing to luxury electric vehicles,” said Bryan Nesbitt, executive director of Cadillac Design. “We wanted this flagship EV to embody the significant heritage of the brand in a truly meaningful way, with the Goddess representing the absolute pinnacle of bespoke craftsmanship from Cadillac.”
You can find today’s Goddess on both the exterior and within the all-new, all-electric CELESTIQ. The front quarter panel trim piece is milled from billet aluminum, polished, brushed and tinted, encasing the Goddess in glass. She can also be found in the infotainment controller, positioned center stage and backlit with her glass encasing. The aluminum dial turns independent of the glass Goddess, ensuring she always remains upright. The CELESTIQ charge port is surrounded by a ring of light that responds when plugged in, as well as a lit Goddess emblem above the charge port – a visual representation of how electrification is the soul of the CELESTIQ.
The Goddess of Swiftness and Power
The original Cadillac Goddess was designed by William N. Schnell of Ternstedt Manufacturing Company, a subsidiary of General Motors responsible for all GM brightwork, between 1928 and 1929. The original Goddess was a work of art that embodied “the very spirit of unsurpassed swiftness and power, coupled with grace and perfect balance.” Her long, sweeping lines were also meant to convey “the modern beauty and fleetness,” of the brand, and was available on Cadillac’s V-8, V-12 and V-16 models.
In 1933, a new version was designed by Chris J. Klein and John R. Morgan, also of Ternstedt Manufacturing. This new design became the fixture on most Cadillac vehicles shortly after. The Goddess was initially available only on the Cadillac V-16, signaling the car’s power and prestige. It was adopted across the lineup in a revised form in 1934 for V-8 and V-12 models, but through the end of their production, the “Sixteens” carried an exclusive version, using the 1933 design through 1937 before moving to an updated design from 1938-40.
With the end of Cadillac V-12 and V-16 production, a new Goddess was adopted for all models in 1941. After World War II and throughout the 1950s, she evolved further and updated designs were reportedly inspired by the same aircraft influences that sparked tail fins and jet-engine design cues, under the direction of legendary GM Design Vice President Harley Earl.
The original era of the Goddess concluded in 1956, although she made another appearance on the limited-production 1959 Eldorado Brougham.
Cadillac Racing Achieves Key V-LMDh Goals

The all-new V-LMDh, Cadillac Racing’s first electrified race car, has passed crucial testing and development milestones just in time for its competition debut at the Rolex 24 in Daytona on January 28. Since testing began in July of this year, the V-LMDh has logged nearly 12,000 miles on the track, including a 24-hour test at Sebring International Raceway. This ideal test environment, according to Cadillac Racing Program Manager Laura Wontrop Klauser, created the much needed data for race-equivalent stints, including night running, and validating durability on the bumpy 3.741-mile (6.020 km).
“To complete that endurance test was extra motivation for our team and provided a sense of accomplishment,” said Klauser. “We still have a lot to do in a short time, but we are at the point where we are fine-tuning many things.”
The EV racing model will compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship, both scheduled to include dates at Sebring International Raceway, including the WEC season-opening 1000 Miles of Sebring on March 17 and the IMSA Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on March 18. A Cadillac has won overall in IMSA at Sebring for the past four years, including a podium sweep in 2022.
October saw the V-LMDh undergoing more testing immediately following the Petit Le Mans race at the 2.54-mile (4.09 km), 12-turn Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Cadillac Racing Assistant Program Manager Kalvin Parker said testing on the same racetrack under similar ambient and track temperatures, and within 36 hours of the event’s checkered flag, was very beneficial.
“For the drivers to go directly from the DPi to the V-LMDh on the same track was very helpful for understanding the limits with the new race car,” Parker said. “They’ve been at a few tracks, where they can compare the differences in weight and differences in power. The growth the teams have made from the first couple of tests, in terms of their comfort level with the cars, has been dramatic, as they push the systems and their understanding of the car further.”
Christmas Cookies to Make with Your Kids

It’s that time again! The holidays bring many things: from cooler weather to dedicated family time, there is always something to do or experience. The best part, in our opinion, is the holiday food and treats – especially the cookies. Plus, when you have all your little ones gathered together, cookie decorating can be one of the best activities to keep everyone occupied and having fun. To help, here are some great sugar cookie baking/decorating tips for the whole family!
Kitchen Tools
- Baking Sheet
- Kid-friendly knife
- Mixing bowl
- Stir spoon
- Small bowl
- 2 small piping bags or ziploc bags
- Food coloring
- Toothpick
- Rolling pin (optional)
- Cookie cutters (optional)
Ingredients
- 1 package premade sugar cookie dough
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 2-3 teaspoons milk
- 2 teaspoons light karo syrup
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- Sprinkles of choice
- Flour (optional)
Baking
First, we have to get the cookies in the oven! Here, you can do two options:
- Start by rolling out the premade dough on a flat surface (flour on the surface and your hands/rolling pin will help if things are too sticky). You want the cookie dough to be rather thin, with an estimate of a ¼ inch thick. It may look a little too thin, but they’ll grow as they are in the oven!
From here, you can use any cookie cutters you want to create the perfect holiday shapes! Any scraps left over can be re-rolled into a new piece and used again, until you get the most out of your cookie dough.
Place all your creations evenly on a baking sheet, and cook according to package instructions. NOTE: If you want to use this method, it may be best to buy a cookie dough roll that states it’s good for cookie shapes, as the ingredients will make it a little easier to roll and cut. - Start by placing the cookie roll on a flat surface.
Using the kid-safe knife, the kids can cut the dough roll into slices, roughly ¼ inch thick (or however fluffy you want your cookies!)
Place the cookies evenly on the baking sheet and cook according to instructions.
The Icing
Now this is the best part, in our opinion.
- In a mixing bowl, add the powdered sugar, milk, almond extract, and karo syrup, then blend until smooth.
- You want the icing to be a little thicker, to keep it from running off the cookie. If it seems too thin, you can add 1 tbsp additional powdered sugar at a time until its right where you want it.
- Time to pick your colors! Once your icing is made, separate it into however many bowls of colors you’d like. For this, we used just red and green, but you can always make more icing and have as many colors as you’d like. Add you colors to the bowls until they’re the perfect shade. Don’t forget to keep white as a color! NOTE: If you use a liquid food coloring, be careful not to change your consistency!
- Place your colors into piping bags or dressing bottles, or a zip lock bag with just the corner cut off to allow you to decorate your cookies.
- A trick here: use a tall cup and place the piping bag or ziploc inside, with the top of the bag wrapping over the top of the cup. This will keep your bag open while you add the icing, keeping you from getting too messy!
- Twist your bags at the top, and prepare to decorate!
Decorating
After the cookies have completely cooled, it’s time to decorate! Whether you decide to create shaped cookies or round ones, each cookie will be completely unique with imagination. Below is a simple option for round cookies:
- First, spread an even layer of white icing over the top of the cookie. Let dry.
- Using any colors, or red and green, place small dots of both colors onto the white icing.
- Using the toothpick, gently drag the stick through the different color dots to create a swirled color pattern in holiday colors.
- Top with sprinkles of your choice – we used a white sparkle sprinkle to add some shine to the top!
- NOTE: If you want to use multiple colors on any of your cookies, make sure one color dries a bit before you add the next one, to keep the colors from running together and mixing on your cookie.
You’re ready to create delicious Christmas sugar cookies! Of course, you can always use chocolate crumbles, peppermint pieces, powdered sugar, nuts, or crushed cookies to the top of your cookies instead of sprinkles. Make them as unique as you. Be sure to tag us and let us know what you created!

120 Years of Cadillac Design

This August marked an official 120 years of Cadillac engineering, design, and innovation. Since its founding by Henry M. Leland in 1902, Cadillac has paved the way when it comes to luxury vehicles, including many technologies and features that drivers today may take for granted. This starts from the very beginning with the pioneering use of standardized, interchangeable component parts earned its first Dewar Trophy and gave rise to the timeless “Standard of the World” moniker.
From the first V-8 engine to the first V-16-powered production passenger car, Cadillac has always been at the forefront of advancement in any era of luxury vehicles. This also includes the first electric self-starter, the HydraMatic fully automatic transmission, and features such as Night Vision to SuperCruise driver assistance technology. Today, this also includes the introduction of Cadillac’s first-ever all-electric vehicle, which brings a new era of progressive advanced technology powered by the Ultium platform.
Of course, Cadillac’s innovation also lies with its impeccable design. One could argue that modern car design began at Cadillac when it introduced the 1927 LaSalle, the first car designed by a stylist – the legendary Harley Earl. From then on, Cadillac design only became stronger. This includes the era-defining 1959 Eldorado to contemporary classics like the CTS-V Coupe, which have captured drivers for decades. Today, you can see this tradition in the new CELESTIQ show car, which represents the future of Cadillac design and innovation and celebrates the brand’s storied past.
