A front 3/4 view of the 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ in Opulent Blue Metallic.

Cadillac’s electric vehicle lineup continues to grow with the confirmation of the VISTIQ, an innovative luxury three-row SUV designed for the modern family. Positioned between the LYRIQ and ESCALADE IQ, the VISTIQ marks the third electric vehicle confirmed by Cadillac this year and the fifth to join its expanding EV family.

Earlier in the year, Cadillac introduced the 2025 ESCALADE IQ, the brand’s inaugural all-electric full-size SUV that redefines the luxury SUV experience through its iconic design, exceptional craftsmanship, and cutting-edge automotive technology. Last month, the 2025 OPTIQ was confirmed by Cadillac, serving as the entry point to the brand’s EV lineup in North America, appealing to global luxury customers with spirited driving dynamics. Further details about the OPTIQ are set to be unveiled next year.

John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac, emphasized the significance of the VISTIQ in expanding Cadillac’s EV offerings, stating, “VISTIQ adds another compelling EV to the Cadillac lineup, reinforcing our commitment to an electric future.” With an EV entry now present in most luxury segments, Cadillac aims to provide customers with a diverse range of choices. Over the next two years, Cadillac’s EVs are set to cover crucial luxury SUV segments in key global markets.

Further details about the VISTIQ, including available features and pricing, are scheduled to be disclosed later this year. Click here to follow us on Facebook to be the first the learn about all things Cadillac EV.

If you’re looking to upgrade into a new Cadillac this year, you may be shopping at just the right time. Cox Automotive anticipates a return to normalcy in the American auto market in 2024, marking the “best year for car buyers since the pandemic,” according to its Forecast: 2024 report. The forecast projects stability across various auto market metrics, signaling a shift from a seller’s market to a buyer’s market.

Key factors contributing to this normalization include a significant increase in production levels, with an estimated three million vehicles expected on dealership lots compared to the chip shortage period’s one million. You may have begun to notice this change already, with more inventory available on our lot than in the previous years. Overall sales are predicted to grow by approximately 2 percent, reaching 15.6 million vehicles in 2024.

The improved inventory is anticipated to help control prices, keeping incentives and discounts at elevated levels. Used vehicle sales are expected to outpace new vehicle sales by a ratio of two to one, reaching a forecast of 36.2 million for 2024. While certified pre-owned vehicle supply is limited, sales are projected to increase by 3 percent year-over-year to 2.7 million.

Cox analysts foresee continued growth in the electric vehicle (EV) market, dubbing 2024 as the “Year of More” – more models, incentives, discounting, advertising, and sales muscle. The EV and hybrid market is predicted to represent about 24 percent of the auto market, with EV leasing on the rise and a rapidly growing used electric vehicle market.

Despite slow wage growth, higher interest rates, and a weakening labor market, all economic indicators point towards more affordable vehicles for consumers. The forecast brings a sense of stability, replacing the chaotic fluctuations and constrained availability experienced in the past four years.

While the outlook is cautiously optimistic, Jonathan Smoke, Chief Economist at Cox, emphasizes that the auto industry has faced unprecedented chaos in recent years, making it challenging to predict future developments. Despite the uncertainties, the forecast signals a positive shift in the auto market landscape for 2024.

In an exciting announcement this month, General Motors officially confirmed its entry into the Formula 1 arena by registering with the FIA as a Formula 1 power unit manufacturer, set to debut in the 2028 season.

GM President Mark Reuss expressed enthusiasm about the endeavor, stating, “We are thrilled that our upcoming Andretti Cadillac F1 entry will harness the power of a GM unit. Leveraging our extensive engineering and racing expertise, we are confident in delivering a potent power unit for the series, positioning Andretti Cadillac as a formidable works team. Our commitment is to compete at the highest levels with passion and integrity, contributing to the elevation of the sport for fans worldwide.”

The recent approval of Andretti’s Expression of Interest application by the FIA paved the way for Andretti Cadillac to join the prestigious FIA Formula One World Championship.

GM has already initiated the development and testing of prototype technology, marking a significant step in its exploration of Formula 1. The endeavor is expected to propel GM’s capabilities in key areas such as electrification, hybrid technology, sustainable fuels, high-efficiency internal combustion engines, and advanced controls and software systems.

Racing has served as a crucial testing ground for GM and Cadillac for over a century, facilitating the transfer of knowledge and technology between race cars and production vehicles. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Cadillac’s V-Series performance portfolio seamlessly integrates insights from the track to enhance on-road performance.

Highlighting their racing prowess, Cadillac recently showcased the 5.5L DOHC V-8 powertrain in the 2023 IMSA and WEC seasons. This powertrain played a pivotal role in Cadillac Racing’s success, securing a podium finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and sweeping top championship honors in the inaugural IMSA Grand Touring Prototype season. The journey into Formula 1 represents a new chapter in GM’s storied racing history, promising innovation and excellence on the global stage.

Cadillac Racing

Cadillac celebrated a remarkable achievement at the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, achieving its fourth Manufacturer Championship and fifth IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup title in the prototype classification since 2017. The prestigious trophies were presented at the IMSA Night of Champions held at the Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Georgia.

During the first year of the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) classification, Cadillac Racing showcased its prowess by securing two victories, six podium finishes, and two pole starts in the challenging nine-race season. These outstanding performances led Cadillac to capture the GTP Manufacturer Championship, adding to their previous Manufacturer Championships in 2017, 2018, and 2021 during the IMSA DPi era.

Pipo Derani and Alexander Sims, the talented drivers of the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac V-Series.R by Action Express Racing, emerged as the champions in both the GTP Driver and Team Championship categories. This remarkable feat marked Derani’s second title in the past three years with Cadillac Racing. Furthermore, Derani, Sims, and Jack Aitken secured the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup Driver and Team Championship, solidifying their legacy in endurance racing.

Cadillac’s success on the track is deeply ingrained in its V-Series performance portfolio, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2023. The innovative technologies and insights gained from decades of racing have seamlessly translated into the CT5-V Blackwing, CT4-V Blackwing, CT5-V, CT4-V, and Escalade-V, showcasing Cadillac’s commitment to excellence both on and off the racetrack.

GM Vehicles

GM has been putting in the work to build a more sustainable future – and it shows. This month, GM was named to the Fortune “Change the World” list that consists of major profitable companies with a focus on greenhouse gas reduction. “The American Electrifiers”, a group Fortune coined thanks to their efforts toward converting the U.S. extensive passenger and commercial vehicle fleet to EVs, includes GM, charging network company ChargePoint, EV battery supplier SK On Co., and Tesla.

“The American Electrifiers” placed first in the “Change the World” list above second-place MercadoLibre and third-place Walmart. While Tesla is credited with the breakthrough company that allowed other EVs to grow in the market, the torch may be passed to GM with their EV lineup offering twice the number of Tesla models. GM EVs include pickup trucks, SUVs, as well as crossover sedans that produce relatively affordable all-electric nameplates, such as the all-new Blazer EV.

Thanks to future EV plans, GM also won a place at the head of the “Change the World” list by fully developing its Ultium battery platform and highly scalable BEV3 platform. With plans to launch nearly 30 EV vehicles worldwide by 2025, GM’s mission is to slowly transition into an all-electric lineup by 2035. They’ve also made an agreement with Tesla to allow GM drivers access to the Tesla Supercharger network starting in 2024 – giving more access to EV owners around the country.

Cadillac Interior
Various iterations of the Goddess are seen on display. (Photo by Dan MacMedan for Cadillac)

The Goddess has returned – playing homage to Cadillac’s design history and handcrafted artistry, the beloved Cadillac Goddess has been reimagined for the Cadillac CELESTIQ. Introduced in 1930, the Goddess has seen several iterations over several decades as she evolved with the brand’s design and cultural aspirations. Early examples reflected more classical influences, while later versions such as those of the 1950s took on a more abstract aesthetic that reflected popular Jet Age design trends.

“Reimagining the Goddess was a beautiful experience because it required me to study the past and understand the evolution of what Cadillac is today,” said Cadillac Creative Sculptor Richard Wiquist, who came to the GM Design studios with a background in figurative art. “This rendition introduces a new, soaring form that reflects the brand’s heritage while also driving it into the future.”

Wiquist spent months handcrafting the new Goddess out of clay, refining the delicate impressionistic style until it captured just the right amount of motion and grace. The goal was simply to reinterpret the Goddess for the modern Cadillac, and incorporated into the ultimate-luxury, all-electric CELESTIQ. The front fender trim features a three-dimensional Goddess in molded glass as part of a piece of milled billet aluminum that’s polished, brushed and tinted. The backlit, three-dimensional Goddess emblem is positioned centrally within the multi-function controller and also encased in glass. An aluminum dial around the jewel-like feature turns independently, so the Goddess always stays in the same position.

“After more than 120 years, heritage is an inextricable element of everything Cadillac does, while our future is about perfecting the art of individuality,” said Wiquist. “That comes from greater emotional connections conveyed in design and the process of co-creating imaginative showpieces. That’s exactly what the Goddess represents with CELESTIQ.”

Heritage Cadillac

Last month, all of us here at Heritage Cadillac were proud to sponsor the Clayton County Backpack Bash! The county, along with their local businesses, came together for a full day event to buy back used backpacks and other school supplies from local families. These supplies were then collected to be distributed to families in need for the new school year!

The first event took place onSaturday, July 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jim Huie Recreation Center, 9045 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro – with seven other events taking place throughout the county. Each event included different fun activities for all ages, including music, food, bounce houses, games, free haircuts and more. The school supplies and backpacks collected were given out at first come first serve, with incredible turnouts at each location.

We’re excited to hear about the success of this local event, and can’t wait to see what the community has in store for the future. Click here to follow us on Facebook for all future sponsorships and events.

Escalade IQ
Front 7/8 view of Cadillac ESCALADE IQ Sport in Flare Metallic at night.

The long-awaited debut of the first-ever, all-electric ESCALADE IQ is finally here. Reimagining the luxury full-size SUV experience with iconic design, craftsmanship, and the latest in Cadillac technology – the ESCALADE IQ was built to be the best-driving ESCALADE to date. Built on GM’s innovative and modular EV propulsion architecture, the ESCALADE IQ is the perfect blend of bold design and performance.

“ESCALADE IQ is first and foremost a Cadillac and delivers on a promise of innovative design supported by spirited performance and cutting-edge technologies,” said Jamie Brewer, executive chief engineer, ESCALADE IQ. “The EV-specific architecture allows us to deliver a driving experience aligned with Cadillac’s philosophy of isolated precision — quiet, smooth and effortless with a strong connection to the road for an engaging experience.”

Power and Performance
With an estimated range of 450 miles per full charge, the ESCALADE IQ features independent front and rear suspension with power transferred to 24-inch wheels and 35-inch tires via the eAWD system. Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Adaptive Air Ride Suspension isolate passengers from undesirable road surfaces while providing precise steering and feel. Four-Wheel Steer reduces the turning diameter to only 39.4 feet when in lower speeds and 6.5 feet for greater maneuverability in parking lots. Cadillac Arrival Mode allows your ESCALADE IQ to move diagonally, making it even easier to fit your full-size SUV in smaller spaces.

A 24-module Ultium battery serves as the foundation, producing more than 200 kWh while employing a flexible high-voltage structure than enables 800-volt DC fast charging. Equipped with Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) bidirectional charging technology with GM Energy’s available Ultium Home products, providing customers with the ability to send power directly from the vehicle to a properly equipped home. This capability will be enabled via an over-the-air software update for the 2025 model year. ESCALADE IQ will also offer the option of Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) offboard power, allowing the vehicle to power external devices.

You’ll also enjoy One-Pedal Driving and Variable Regen on Demand to allow you to feel more connected to every drive. Plus, Ultium Energy Recovery — an innovative heat pump thermal system — allows for energy to transfer between the battery/power electronics and the cabin, using every watt possible to optimize range and minimizing the power from the high-voltage battery used for five-zone climate control.

Safety, of course, has taken the front stage in ESCALADE IQ technology. The SUV will feature a suite of standard active safety and driver assistance features such as:
Blind Zone Steering Assist: Can provide a brief, firm turn of the steering wheel when a potential crash is detected with a moving vehicle in the lane the vehicle is entering
Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking: Can help drivers avoid or reduce the severity of an intersection collision with a detected cross-traffic vehicle
HD Surround Vision: Provides selectable digital camera views of the area around the vehicle and can help drivers park or avoid vehicles and objects
Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist: Can automatically steer, brake and shift gears to park the vehicle into a dedicated parallel or perpendicular parking space and can help unpark the vehicle
Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking: At speeds between 5 and 50 mph, can help drivers avoid or reduce the severity of a collision with a pedestrian or bicyclist it detects directly in front of them

A Bold Presence
The design of the ESCALADE IQ captures the essence of his predecessors, while providing a bold EV architecture that makes a statement. A sleeker profile, dynamic hood and faster-sloping roofline, and a lower, flatter interior floor for the ultimate in passenger space. The new design pushed the wheels to the corners for a more powerful stance and bold proportions. Expressive design is shown in the vertical light signature for both day and night, tall front daytime running light blades, and dramatic lighting choreography at both approach and departure.

Additional ESCALADE IQ exterior details include:

  • Available power open-and-close exterior door entry system. All four doors power open and close at the touch of a button, and if activated, the driver’s door will automatically open as the driver approaches with the key fob
  • Motorized charge port door that opens automatically with a touch
  • Large eTrunk compartment under the hood with 12 cubic feet of storage
  • Dynamic 24-inch wheel designs

The interior of the new ESCALADE IQ is inspired by the worlds of architecture, upscale furnishings, fashion and more. The cabin is open, airy and spacious, and incorporates advanced technologies introduced on the ultra-luxury Cadillac CELESTIQ.

Highlights include:

  • A stunning, curved pillar-to-pillar 55-inch-total-diagonal LED display powered by a next generation Snapdragon®12 Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. creates a vibrant first impression that only gets better over time with intuitive virtual Smart Controls, such as Universal Remote control when you pull up to your garage, which enhances the experience. Utilizing connectivity from Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon® Auto 5G Modem-RF system, the ESCALADE IQ raises the bar for in-vehicle experiences. The integrated infotainment experience is further personalized and enhanced with Google built-in. With Google Assistant®, Google Maps, and Google Play, customers can access hands-free communication, live traffic updates, information on nearby charging stations, download their favorite apps and more.
  • An available Executive Second-Row Seating package that blends beauty with task-oriented comfort, including features such as stowable tray tables, 12.6-inch-diagonal personal screens, a rear command center screen, dual wireless phone charging pads, USB-C and HDMI ports, massaging seats and headrest speakers.
  • Power folding third row allows for seven total passengers and folds flat for more storage.
  • A panoramic fixed glass roof that spans the first and second rows of seating, creating an immersive experience and spectacular view for every passenger. The roof glass is tinted and treated with a UV-filtering film that ensures the cabin stays comfortable, even on bright days.
  • Interior themes that celebrate bold, progressive color combinations and contrasting details to further establish Cadillac’s EV personality.
  • Immersive, 360-degree audio experience with available 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system when equipped with the Executive Second Row package. The Luxury 2 and Sport 2 systems include a 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system. The standard system for Luxury 1 and Sport 1 trims is a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system.

Regular production of the ESCALADE IQ begins next summer at GM’s Factory ZERO Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center in Michigan, with domestic and globally sourced components.
