The ultimate goal for Fine Mycelium™ is to offer superior strength, potential weight reduction, and improved efficiency, all while meeting the highest quality standards.
As a part of this collaboration, Cadillac has designed a cardholder accessory to showcase the versatility and elegance of this new material.

General Motors (GM) has achieved a remarkable milestone by earning the highest number of model-level awards in the industry in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS). Six GM models have been recognized across various categories, with more than half of GM’s lineup performing among the Top 3 within their respective segments.
Now in its 38th year, the J.D. Power IQS is based on feedback from nearly 100,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2024 model-year vehicles, surveyed after three months of ownership. This year’s study also integrates repair visit data with J.D. Power Voice of the Consumer data, collected from July 2023 through May 2024.

The Cadillac ESCALADE IQ is Almost Ready

Last year, Cadillac introduced the all-new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, a fully electric version of the luxury brand’s flagship SUV. With its two-motor powertrain delivering up to 750 horsepower, a tech-laden interior featuring a 55-inch infotainment system, and an estimated driving range of 460 miles, the Escalade IQ represents a significant step forward in Cadillac’s EV lineup. After a much anticipated wait, we’re excited to announce that the ESCALADE IQ production is set to begin this October.
While the Escalade IQ shares many styling cues with the refreshed, internal combustion-engine 2025 Cadillac Escalade, it features unique bodywork. The IQ has a much longer wheelbase, slots between the standard Escalade and the extended-length Escalade ESV in overall length, and boasts a slightly wider body with a lower roofline and ground clearance for a sportier look.
At launch, the 2025 Escalade IQ will come with two Ultium Drive electric motors, delivering a combined output of up to 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque in Velocity Max mode. Cadillac estimates a 0-60 mph time of under five seconds. The 200+ kWh Ultium 24-module battery pack provides an estimated 460-mile range on a full charge and offers Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functionality for powering external devices.
The Escalade IQ will feature:
- 24-inch wheels with 35-inch tires
- Fully independent suspension
- Four-wheel steering
- Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Adaptive Air Ride suspension with the ability to raise the SUV by one inch and lower it by two inches
- Towing capacity of up to 8,000 pounds when properly equipped
Available in Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Sport 1, and Sport 2 trims, the Escalade IQ offers four interior color and trim themes. The cabin’s highlight is the 55-inch display spanning pillar-to-pillar, housing the driver instrument cluster, infotainment touchscreen, and front passenger entertainment screen. The standard AKG audio system includes 19 speakers, with the optional AKG Studio Reference system boasting 36 speakers, increasing to 40 with the Executive Second Row package.
Additional features include Super Cruise, OnStar, dual 12.6-inch rear-seat entertainment screens, 5G network connectivity, and available front and second-row massaging seats.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will be produced alongside the GMC Hummer EV SUV, Hummer EV Pickup, Chevy Silverado EV, and GMC Sierra EV at the GM Factory Zero plant in Hamtramck, Michigan.

Cadillac Racing celebrated a triumphant victory at the streets of Long Beach, capitalizing on their third pole start to secure the sprint race last month. Renger van der Zande and Sebastien Bourdais, piloting the No. 01 Cadillac V-Series.R, edged out their competitors by a mere 0.564 of a second, clinching Cadillac Racing’s sixth triumph at Long Beach and marking their 30th overall victory since joining IMSA’s prototype class in 2017.
This win holds special significance for Bourdais, who secured his fifth victory at Long Beach, teaming up with van der Zande, his partner from the 2022 win. Despite the stiff competition from the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, which has consistently shown strong performance, the No. 01 Cadillac V-Series.R emerged victorious, demonstrating Cadillac Racing’s unwavering prowess.
In addition to their stellar performance in the race, Cadillac Racing hybrid racecars dominated the GTP field in practice sessions, further solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with on the track.
Mark Stielow, GM director of motorsports competition, commended the team’s exceptional achievement, highlighting the outstanding efforts of both the No. 01 Cadillac V-Series.R and the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R. Cadillac and Samsung TV Plus have announced the television debut of “No Perfect Formula,” a documentary highlighting Cadillac Racing’s triumphant return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June 2023. The film captures the dedication and perseverance of the team as they prepare for and compete in this iconic endurance race.
Premiering on the Hagerty channel #1194 on the Samsung TV Plus app for Samsung Smart TVs, Galaxy Devices, and on the web on Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m. EST, the 90-minute documentary follows Cadillac Racing’s journey to build a winning race car. The team’s efforts culminated in a successful season in the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship, including a podium finish at Le Mans and top honors in the IMSA Grand Touring Prototype season.
After its initial airing, “No Perfect Formula” will be shown all night and will continue to air every Friday at 7 p.m. EST leading up to the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 15–16.

The new era of sportscar racing in 2023 introduced the Hypercar and GTP classes with hybrid propulsion systems. Cadillac aimed to demonstrate the prowess of its V-Series.R, the third-generation prototype race car, in these new classes. The LMDh racecar platform, with shared regulations between IMSA and WEC, facilitated Cadillac’s return to Le Mans. According to Laura Wontrop Klauser, GM sports car program manager, the hybrid system offers vital insights for Cadillac’s future electric vehicles, while the naturally aspirated 5.5L V-8 retains the unmistakable Cadillac sound.

Coinciding with the teaser’s release is the 20th anniversary of V-Series’ debut at Sebring International Raceway in March 2004. The 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ is Built with Luxury in Mind

On the road, the LYRIQ delivers a smooth and powerful performance, achieving approximately 314 miles (RWD) and 307 miles (AWD) of electric range. The 102-kilowatt-hour battery pack from General Motors’ Ultium EV Platform powers the LYRIQ, offering benefits like a low center of gravity, Regen on Demand, and One-Pedal Driving. Charging is efficient, with DC fast charging stations (190 kW) restoring 77 miles of energy in about 10 minutes. The striking crossover SUV boasts captivating design elements, including a sport-illuminated front grille, alloy wheels, Obsidian Chrome finishes, a hands-free power liftgate, and more.
Inside the LYRIQ’s cabin, a floating center console with a rotary dial commands the advanced 33″ diagonal LED screen, seamlessly integrating vehicle stats, infotainment controls, Apple CarPlay, climate control, and more. Google built-in, Cadillac Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance, a premium AKG Studio audio system, and an augmented reality head-up display enhance the driving experience. Cadillac is set to make a triumphant return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, fielding three formidable Cadillac V-Series.R hybrid racecars, each backed by seasoned championship-winning drivers and teams. This marks the second consecutive year that Cadillac Racing has received three invitations from the event organizer, Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), for the iconic endurance race. In 2023, the No. 2 Cadillac V-Series.R secured a podium finish during Cadillac Racing’s inaugural year of FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Hypercar competition. The No. 3 Cadillac V-Series.R finished fourth at Circuit de la Sarthe, while the No. 311 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R claimed 10th place in class.
John Roth, Vice President, Global Cadillac, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “After scoring our first podium finish at this iconic endurance race in 2023, we look to build on that success and showcase the Cadillac V-Series.R’s technology, innovation, and durability, while demonstrating the remarkable capabilities and determination of our race teams.”
The formidable Cadillac Racing lineup includes drivers with a collective record of five overall and class victories at Circuit de la Sarthe, 12 IndyCar championships, and two IMSA prototype titles.
- The No. 2 Cadillac V-Series.R, which received an automatic entry based on its full-season participation in the WEC, will be driven by Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn, and Alex Palou.
- The No. 3 Cadillac V-Series.R, a full-season IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship entrant, will be piloted by Sébastien Bourdais, Renger van der Zande, and Scott Dixon.
- The No. 311 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, also a full-season IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship entrant, will feature reigning IMSA GTP champion Pipo Derani and Jack Aitken, with an additional co-driver to be named in the future.
- The No. 2 Cadillac V-Series.R secured third place in the centenary 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023, achieving four top-five finishes in its debut WEC season.
In 2023, Cadillac dominated the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTP category, clinching every trophy, including the driver/team season and IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup titles with the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R. The manufacturer also secured its fourth Manufacturer Championship and fifth IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup Manufacturer Championship since entering prototype competition in 2017.
The 2024 IMSA GTP season kicked off with a strong start, with the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, featuring Derani, Aitken, and Blomqvist, finishing as the runner-up in the 62nd Rolex 24 At Daytona in January. The team now looks forward to defending its Twelve Hours of Sebring victory in March under the banner of Action Express Racing.
