Cadillac and Samsung TV Plus have announced the television debut of “No Perfect Formula,” a documentary highlighting Cadillac Racing’s triumphant return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June 2023. The film captures the dedication and perseverance of the team as they prepare for and compete in this iconic endurance race.

Premiering on the Hagerty channel #1194 on the Samsung TV Plus app for Samsung Smart TVs, Galaxy Devices, and on the web on Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m. EST, the 90-minute documentary follows Cadillac Racing’s journey to build a winning race car. The team’s efforts culminated in a successful season in the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship, including a podium finish at Le Mans and top honors in the IMSA Grand Touring Prototype season.

After its initial airing, “No Perfect Formula” will be shown all night and will continue to air every Friday at 7 p.m. EST leading up to the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 15–16.

“Racing has been a cornerstone for Cadillac, allowing us to transfer technology from the track to our production vehicles while building a global fanbase,” said John Roth, Cadillac global vice president. “2023 marked a significant year for Cadillac Racing, and ‘No Perfect Formula’ captures the passion and celebrates our accomplishments.”

The new era of sportscar racing in 2023 introduced the Hypercar and GTP classes with hybrid propulsion systems. Cadillac aimed to demonstrate the prowess of its V-Series.R, the third-generation prototype race car, in these new classes. The LMDh racecar platform, with shared regulations between IMSA and WEC, facilitated Cadillac’s return to Le Mans. According to Laura Wontrop Klauser, GM sports car program manager, the hybrid system offers vital insights for Cadillac’s future electric vehicles, while the naturally aspirated 5.5L V-8 retains the unmistakable Cadillac sound.

Produced by Tangent Vector and directed by J.F. Musial, the documentary showcases how Cadillac integrates racing technology into its production models, enhancing aerodynamics, manufacturing processes, software, and overall performance. “We’re excited to share Cadillac Racing’s journey with our audience,” said Paul Rehrig, Hagerty president of media, marketing, and membership. “Our partnership with Samsung TV Plus allows us to bring this compelling story to a broader audience.”
