Cadillac Benefit

The Detroit Children’s Fund (DCF), a nonprofit focused on ensuring quality education for Detroit children, will receive a generous donation of $550,000 from the auction of the first retail production all-electric 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ, VIN 001. The auction took place at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on October 12, 2024, with all proceeds going directly to DCF. Barrett-Jackson graciously waived all fees and commissions for this charitable sale.

“The education of our children is vital to the stability and future of any city, and we’re excited that the sale of the first ESCALADE IQ will benefit the incredible work the Detroit Children’s Fund is doing in our hometown,” said General Motors President Mark Reuss. “We extend our gratitude to Barrett-Jackson for their support in this historic auction, helping us contribute to such a worthy cause.”

Detroit Children’s Fund is dedicated to improving public education in Detroit by collaborating with school leaders to close funding gaps and address specific school needs. The proceeds from the sale of the ESCALADE IQ will directly benefit thousands of students attending schools supported by DCF, making a significant impact on their education.

“We are extremely grateful to General Motors, Cadillac, and the winning bidder for supporting our mission,” said Nick Karmanos, CEO of Detroit Children’s Fund. “This incredible donation will provide more students with access to the quality education they deserve. It’s life-changing support that will benefit many of Detroit’s children.”
