Cadillac Reveals the Future of All-Electric Luxury Performance

Cadillac has unveiled the Opulent Velocity concept, a bold vision of luxury and electrified performance that embodies the future of the Cadillac V-Series. This concept merges cutting-edge technology with bespoke luxury, offering a glimpse into Cadillac’s next generation of electric vehicles.

“Opulent Velocity is an experience-based design study,” said Bryan Nesbitt, Executive Director of Global Cadillac Design. “It showcases Cadillac’s leadership in autonomous driving, electrification, and performance.”

Opulent Experience: Autonomous Luxury

The “Opulent” side of the concept focuses on the future of hands-free, fully autonomous driving. With Level 4 autonomy, the vehicle offers immersive multi-sensory modes, a widescreen display, and an Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR HUD). Cadillac also explored the use of sound, light, and curated art to create a personalized, calming driving experience.

Velocity Experience: Thrilling Performance

The “Velocity” experience transforms the vehicle into a high-performance hypercar, inspired by Cadillac’s Blackwing engineering. A “Ghost Car” feature in the HUD allows drivers to race on virtual tracks, enhancing their driving skills. In this mode, drivers can control the active aero and suspension settings for a dynamic and exhilarating drive.

Striking Design

Inspired by Cadillac’s V-Series.R racecars, the Opulent Velocity features a sleek, low profile with butterfly doors. The exterior design combines luxury with motorsport aesthetics, featuring Cadillac’s vertical lighting signature, 3D lit grille, and a Gilded Pearl exterior.

The interior is a seamless blend of futuristic technology and traditional craftsmanship, with metallic dark blue “Selene” accents and cutting-edge materials that emphasize both luxury and performance.

Opulent Velocity sets the stage for Cadillac’s leadership in the world of electrified luxury performance, combining artistry with advanced innovation for a truly unique experience.
